Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Padho Likho JEE (a registered business; QCC Notes is its brand for these Class 11 notes) handles your data when you use notes.padholikhojee.com. We follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
1. What we collect
- Reading the free theory: nothing personal. No account or sign-in is needed.
- At checkout for a ₹19 ShortNotes PDF: your name, email address and phone number, which you type into the payment form so we can issue your receipt, restore your access if needed, and provide support.
- Payment details: handled entirely by Razorpay. Card / UPI / bank details are entered on Razorpay's secure checkout and are never seen or stored by QCC Notes. We receive only a payment ID, status, and the chapter purchased.
- On your device only (localStorage): your language choice and your revision progress / quiz scores for the progress tracker. This stays in your browser, is never sent to our servers, and you can clear it any time from your browser settings.
- Purchase cookie: after a payment is verified, we set one strictly necessary cookie (
qcc_access) that records which chapters you have unlocked on that browser. It contains no name, email or phone number, is digitally signed so it cannot be altered, and lasts up to 2 years. Without it, paid notes cannot open. - Restoring access: if you use “Already paid? Restore access”, the Payment ID and email you enter are checked against Razorpay’s record of that payment to unlock the chapter again. We do not store them.
- Basic technical logs: our host (Cloudflare) records standard request data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and performance. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
2. Why we use it
- To deliver the purchased ShortNotes (unlocking them on this website, and the on-page PDF download where available).
- To process the payment and issue receipts / refunds.
- To respond to support and grievance emails.
- To keep the site secure and working, and to comply with legal and tax obligations.
We do not sell, rent or share student data with third parties for marketing, and we do not use it to train AI models.

Each processor has its own privacy policy and security certifications.
4. How long we keep it
- Payment and invoice records: retained for 8 years as required under Indian tax law. These are not deleted even on an erasure request.
- Support / grievance emails: retained for 2 years after the issue is closed.
- Technical logs: retained by Cloudflare per their standard retention (typically a few days to weeks).
5. Your rights (DPDP Act 2023)
You may ask us to:
- tell you what personal data of yours we hold, and why;
- correct inaccurate data;
- erase data that we are no longer required to keep (payment records are exempt while the legal retention period applies).

6. Children
Our content is written for Class 11 students, some of whom are under 18. We only collect checkout details (name, email, phone) that are entered to complete a purchase, and we recommend a parent or guardian makes or supervises any payment. We do not knowingly collect any other personal data from minors. If you believe a minor's data has been shared with us in error, contact us and we will delete it (subject to tax-record retention where a payment was made).
7. Security & breach notification
The site is served over HTTPS. Payment data never touches our servers. If a personal-data breach occurs, we will notify the Data Protection Board of India and affected users within 72 hours of becoming aware, as required by the DPDP Act.
